?> About us – Bless Up Jamaica

Kathrine Weir is a Jamaican missionary who has been serving in Jamaica since 2018. Married to a Jamaican, Dwight Weir, her family connection has deepened her long-term commitment to the nation and its people.

Kathrine and Dwight began their missionary work with the Pregnancy Resource Centre of Jamaica, where they initially focused on supporting teens and women facing unplanned pregnancies, including providing assistance to the home where the girls live. Over time, their ministry expanded to include outreach to teenage boys who had been expelled from school, offering mentorship and support to help them reintegrate into the education system.

Today, they are actively involved in developing a residential boys’ home in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica, an initiative designed to provide structure, holistic care and long-term support for at-risk youth.

Before entering full-time missions, Kathrine built a successful career in marketing and dental practice management, experience she now leverages to strengthen organizational leadership, outreach and sustainability in ministry work. Dwight, an entrepreneur, has faithfully served alongside Kathrine while also providing the support that has enabled her to pursue full-time ministry.

Dwight has three children, one serving in the Army, one in nursing and one in electronics. Kathrine has one daughter who is studying psychology in college and plans to pursue her doctorate, continuing a shared passion for serving others.

Kathrine and Dwight’s work is driven by a deep belief in restoration, dignity and the power of community to transform lives. Through compassionate leadership and practical action, they remain committed to creating safe spaces where vulnerable children and families can heal, grow and build hopeful futures in Jamaica.
