By February, Hurricane Melissa is rarely mentioned at all.
But walk through the affected communities, and the devastation is everywhere.
Homes are still rubble. Parents still have no jobs. Children still go to sleep hungry. Families still live without stability, safety, or certainty about tomorrow.
This is not about rebuilding convenience—it’s about rebuilding survival.
People need food.
They need shelter.
They need jobs.
They need medical care.
They need someone to remember them.
The greatest danger now isn’t the storm—it’s neglect.
When the world looks away, babies die. When support disappears, starvation spreads. When recovery is forgotten, entire communities are left behind.
The need is still great.
The suffering is still real.
And Jamaica still needs help.
